Es imposible separar una ruta de su historia; es inevitable escindir los tiempos del camino del ritmo de un relato, de su carga mítica. La Ruta Nacional 40 es la más larga de la Argentina: 5.200 kilómetros que unen el frío patagónico con la aridez de las arenas del Norte. Y en el medio, lagos y montañas, bosques y volcanes,
desiertos y glaciares. Pero también historias ancladas en imágenes, sostenidas en palabras. Por eso Ruta 40, el libro que reúne fotografías de Alejandro Guyot y textos de Sonia Renison, toma forma como un diario de ruta; pero además, como el registro de todo lo que hace a un camino. Es decir, distancia más tiempo más gente más paisaje. O lo que es más o menos lo mismo: cinco mil kilómetros para ver, y otros tantos por contar.
